Mickey Hart wasn't playing with them in 73', not to burst your bubble. This show is a highlight of 73...ridiculously good audience recording, excellent setlist, the band is swingin

Kreutzmann rolls the ball to Hart, Hart thumps it. Lesh twangs it to Godchaux. Godchaux dribbles deftly and nudges to Weir. Weir flies down the wing and passes to Garcia. Garcia glides towards the centre. He weaves and shoots and the ball curls towards the top right corner. GOAAAL!! And the crowd go wild!

Subject: This Playin' is Mesmerizin'
First off this recording is fantastic. I got my levels just like I like 'em and Phil sounds pretty good to me. Just now I was checking out some '73, fired up this Playin' and got knocked way, way out there. Thanks to all involved.

Subject: You Found A Great One!
For the time period, the sound is excellent! One of the best I've found for download in weeks! The whole concert is so hot! Jerry is electrified and he jams so awesome throughout the whole concert. I was 5 months old when they did this show. LSD and the Grateful Dead, like nothin' else!

i love 73 and the band was hot this show like most of the time that year. However imo phil is hard to hear and the drums are as well. mids are slightly too high pitched.however it was hard to record these shows back then because of technology.Grateful to the taper, still listenable.

Subject: Best 73 Aud I've Heard...
The fact that this is from 73 is amazing. Three cheers for tapers! Highlights from my listen are Big River, a STRONG & LONG Playin', and the best version of Loose Lucy I've heard to date. Worth the addition to your AUD library for sure.

This show is great and the recording quality is mighty fine, especially for this era. My favorites were China>Rider and a colossal, completely off the heezy Playin'.

Subject: Superior Audience Recording!
This is a extra-fine audience recording. Superior quality and a fine performance from the boys. Download and listen.

this is one of the best audience tapes ive ever heard. sound quality and playing are both top notch. the other source that looks similiar to this one but has an extra name in the credits for some reason has pitch problems and sounds a half step or maybe even a whole step lower than it should. this source is the better one imo.

Subject: WOW
All I can say about this one is WOWWW!!!!!
I listened to this one thru headphones while at work. It is simply outstanding. Very very good sound. Great mix of band and audience. Quite a bit of audience banter between songs, but never during the music. As to the performance, it is sweet indeed. Jerry is right out front, crisp and clear and on his game!!!!

I'll give this one a strong 4.5.....
